Spicy Aloo Matar Curry
Ingredients
- potatoes (aloo)500 g
- green peas (matar)250 g
- tomatoes200 g
- onions150 g
- green chillies2 pieces
- salt1,5 tsp
- red chilli powder1,5 tsp
- turmeric powder1 tsp
- coriander powder2 tsp
- Maggi masala1 sachet (10g)
- vegetable oil2 tbsp

Peel and cut the potatoes into medium-sized cubes. Finely chop the onions, tomatoes, and green chillies.

Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a deep pan or kadhai over medium heat.

Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

Add the green chillies and sauté for another 1 minute.

Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and oil starts to separate.

Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the potato cubes and sauté for 3-4 minutes so they are well coated with the masala.

Add the green peas and mix well.

Add about 400 ml of water, cover the pan, and let it simmer on medium heat for 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked and the curry thickens.

Add the Maggi masala sachet and mix thoroughly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
