Terms of use

1. Service

AI Chef uses artificial intelligence to create recipe suggestions and images, offers a searchable community recipe collection and provides cookbook, meal-plan and shopping-list features. There is no entitlement to constant availability or to specific generation results; free use is limited by fair daily allowances.

2. No dietary or medical advice

AI-generated content can be incorrect or incomplete. Information on ingredients, cooking times, nutrition and in particular allergens is a non-binding suggestion and does not replace your own verification or professional medical or nutritional advice. If you have allergies or intolerances, verify every ingredient yourself.

3. Account

Personalised features require an account with a valid email address. Keep your credentials confidential. You can delete your account at any time.

4. Community content and rights

Recipes you publish are shown to other users in the app and on the web. You grant us the non-exclusive, unlimited right to store, reproduce, display and technically process this content within AI Chef. Unlawful, offensive or dangerous content is prohibited and may be removed.

5. Prohibited use

The following are prohibited in particular: automated extraction (scraping) beyond the interfaces offered, circumvention of allowances or security mechanisms, abusive mass generation, and using the services to create unlawful content.

6. AI Chef Pro (subscription)

AI Chef Pro extends allowances and features. Prices and terms are shown before purchase. Subscriptions purchased on the web are billed via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period in the Subscription area. Subscriptions purchased in the app stores are additionally subject to Apple’s or Google’s terms and are managed and cancelled there.

Withdrawal: for digital services, provision starts immediately with your express consent; you acknowledge that the statutory right of withdrawal expires upon full performance of the contract (§ 18(1)(11) FAGG, Austria). Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for personal injury. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations. To the extent permitted by law, liability for using AI-generated content without your own verification (section 2) is excluded.

8. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms with effect for the future, for example for new features or changes in the law. We will inform you of material changes in an appropriate manner.

9. Governing law

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
