Ingredients
- split yellow moong dal1 cup
- ripe mango, peeled and chopped1 medium

Rinse the split yellow moong dal thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear.

In a large pot, add the rinsed moong dal and 4 cups of water. Bring it to a boil over medium heat.

Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to low and add the turmeric powder. Let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes or until the dal is cooked and soft.

In a separate pan, heat the ghee over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let them splutter.

Add the finely chopped onion and green chilies to the pan. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.

Add the curry leaves and sauté for another minute.

Add the chopped mango pieces to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until the mango softens slightly.
