- ginger1 inch
- black pepper1 teaspoon
- salt1 teaspoon
- spring onion greens2 tablespoons
Instructions
- 1
Cut the paneer into 1-inch cubes and set aside.
- 2
In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons cornflour, 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Add a little water to make a thick batter.
- 3
Toss the paneer cubes in the batter until well coated.
- 4
Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Shallow fry the paneer cubes until golden and crisp on all sides. Remove and set aside on paper towels.
- 5
Slice the green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and onion into 1-inch squares. Finely chop the garlic, ginger, and green chillies.
- 6
In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Add chopped garlic, ginger, and green chillies. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 7
Add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Stir-fry on high heat for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
- 8
Add 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup, 1 tablespoon chilli sauce, and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Mix well.
- 9
Add the fried paneer cubes and toss everything together on high heat for 2 minutes so the sauce coats the paneer and vegetables evenly.
- 10
Taste and adjust salt if needed. Garnish with chopped spring onion greens.
- 11
Serve hot as an appetizer or side dish.
