In a pressure cooker, add the soaked dal, 4 cups of water, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the dal is soft and mushy.

While the dal is cooking, prepare the dough for the dhokli. In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour, a pinch of salt, and a little water to form a soft dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Roll out the dough into thin sheets and cut them into diamond shapes.

In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add ginger-garlic paste, chopped green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté for a minute.

Add the cooked dal to the pan along with red chili powder, jaggery, and peanuts. Mix well and bring it to a boil.
- 7
Gently add the dhokli pieces into the boiling dal. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 8
Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the dhokli is cooked through.
- 9
Add lemon juice and adjust salt to taste.
- 10
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
