1Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F).
In a medium saucepan, gently heat the milk over low heat until it is warm but not boiling.
In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until they are well beaten.
Gradually add the warm milk to the eggs, whisking continuously to prevent the eggs from cooking.
Stir in the chocolate syrup until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Pour the mixture into individual ramekins or a baking dish.
Place the ramekins or baking dish in a larger baking pan and fill the pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins or dish.
Carefully transfer the pan to the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the custard is set but still slightly wobbly in the center.
Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
