Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
Add the cheddar cheese to the sauce and stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Combine the cooked pasta, cheese sauce, and chopped bacon in a large mixing bowl. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
