Fish Kofta Biryani
Ingredients

- basmati rice2 cups
- yogurt1 cup

- garlic4 cloves
- ginger1 inch
- green chilies2 pieces

- garam masala1 tsp

Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes, then drain.

In a blender, combine the fish fillet, 1 onion, garlic, ginger, green chilies, mint leaves, coriander leaves, garam masala, turmeric, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Blend until smooth to form a fish kofta mixture.

Shape the fish mixture into small balls (koftas) and set aside.

Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a pan over medium heat. Fry the koftas until golden brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, add the remaining ghee and sliced onion. Sauté until the onions are golden brown.

Add the yogurt to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously.

Add the drained rice to the pan and stir gently to coat the rice with the yogurt mixture.

Add 4 cups of water and salt to taste. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.

Gently place the fried fish koftas on top of the rice. Cover and cook for another 10 minutes until the rice is fully cooked and the koftas are heated through.
