Ingredients

- coriander powder1 tsp
- turmeric powder1 tsp
- red chili powder1 tsp
- garam masala1 tsp

- water2 cups
- fresh coriander leavesfor garnish

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chilies. Sauté for a couple of minutes.

Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and the oil starts to separate.

Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add the mutton pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.

Add the yogurt and mix well. Cook for a few minutes until the yogurt is well incorporated.

Add the water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the mutton is tender.
