- garam masala1 tsp
- red chili powder1 tsp

- cumin seeds1 tsp

- oil1 tbsp
- water1/4 cup
- cilantro2 tbsp

Heat the oil and 1 tbsp of butter in a pan over medium heat.

Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.

Add the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for another minute.

Add the tomato puree, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
