Ingredients

Rinse the toor dal thoroughly and soak it in water for about 15-20 minutes.

In a pressure cooker, add the soaked toor dal and 2 cups of water. Cook for 3-4 whistles until the dal is soft and mushy.

In a separate pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.

Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn translucent.

Add the chopped tomato and cook until it becomes soft.

Add the mixed vegetables and sauté for a few minutes.

Add turmeric powder, sambar powder, and salt. Mix well.
