- coriander powder1 teaspoon
- turmeric powder0,5 teaspoon
- red chili powder0,5 teaspoon
- saltto taste
- vegetable oil2 tablespoons
- fresh coriander leavesfor garnish
Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, half of the chopped onions, half of the minced garlic, half of the grated ginger, and one chopped green chili. Add salt to taste and mix well to form a smooth mixture.
- 2
Shape the mixture into small balls (koftas) and set aside.
- 3
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the remaining onions and sauté until golden brown.
- 4
Add the remaining garlic, ginger, and green chili to the pan. Sauté for another minute.
- 5
Stir in the tomato puree, yogurt, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the oil separates from the masala.
- 6
Gently add the koftas to the curry, cover the pan, and let them cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the koftas to cook through.
- 7
Once the koftas are cooked, turn off the heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- 8
Serve hot with rice or naan.
