Cauliflower Cheese with Sausage and Bacon

Instructions

1. 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).

2. 2

Cut the cauliflower into florets and steam or boil until just tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and set aside.

3. 3

In a frying pan, cook the sausages over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove and slice them into pieces.

4. 4

In the same pan, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and chop into small pieces.

5. 5

Add the mushrooms to the pan and sauté until they are soft and browned. Remove from heat.

6. 6

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.

7. 7

Gradually add the milk to the roux, whisking continuously until the sauce thickens.

8. 8

Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

9. 9

In a baking dish, combine the cauliflower, sausage, bacon, and mushrooms. Pour the cheese sauce over the top and mix gently to combine.
