Ingredients

Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain, peel, and mash them in a large bowl.

Add 1/2 of the chopped onions, green chili (finely chopped), chickpea flour, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp cumin powder to the mashed potatoes. Mix well to form a smooth dough.

Divide the potato mixture into equal portions and shape them into small, flat patties (tikkis).

Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Shallow fry the tikkis until golden brown and crisp on both sides. Remove and set aside on paper towels.
