1Soak the soya chunks in hot water for about 10 minutes until they become soft. Drain and squeeze out excess water.
Slice the onions thinly and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
Add the soaked soya chunks and sliced onions to the flour mixture. Mix until the soya chunks and onions are well coated.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
Take small portions of the mixture and drop them into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy.
Remove the bhajis from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
