Soak the rice and urad dal separately in water for about 4-6 hours.

Drain the water and grind the rice and urad dal together to form a smooth batter. The consistency should be similar to dosa batter.

Add chopped onions, green chilies, grated coconut, and chopped coriander leaves to the batter. Mix well.

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.

Add the tempering to the batter and mix well. Add salt to taste.
