Begin by laying a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat.

Wet your hands with water to prevent sticking and spread about 1/2 cup of sushi rice evenly over the nori, leaving about 1/2 inch of space at the top edge of the nori.

Place a line of shredded imitation crab meat across the center of the rice.

Add a line of sliced cooked shrimp on top of the crab.

Add a few slices of avocado and a few strips of julienned cucumber on top of the shrimp.

Carefully start rolling the sushi using the bamboo mat, pressing down firmly but gently. Roll until just an inch of nori is showing at the top.
