Irish Coffee

Instructions

   Preheat a glass coffee mug by filling it with hot water. After a few seconds, discard the water.

   Add the brown sugar to the preheated mug.

   Pour the hot coffee into the mug until it is about three-quarters full. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.

   Add the Irish whiskey to the mug with the coffee and sugar mixture.

   Lightly whip the heavy cream until it is slightly thickened but still pourable.

   Hold a spoon over the mug and gently pour the whipped cream over the back of the spoon so that it floats on top of the coffee without mixing in.

   Serve the Irish Coffee immediately, with the cream on top for sipping the hot coffee and whiskey through.
