1Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
Add the lean ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned.
Stir in the tomato sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom.
Place a layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce.
Spread a layer of ricotta cheese over the noodles, followed by a layer of meat sauce.
Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of meat sauce.
Sprinkle the top with mozzarella cheese.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before serving.
