5In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated with the butter.
Press the crumb mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish to form the crust. Use the back of a spoon to press it down firmly.
Place the crust in the freezer for about 10 minutes to set.
While the crust is setting, take the vanilla ice cream out of the freezer to soften slightly.
Once the crust is set, spread the softened vanilla ice cream evenly over the crust.
Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the ice cream layer.
Place the pie in the freezer for at least 2 hours, or until the ice cream is firm.
Before serving, top the pie with whipped cream.
