Soak the chole (chickpeas) in water overnight or for at least 8 hours.

Boil the soaked chole with a pinch of salt until they are soft and cooked through.

In a pan, heat 10ml of vegetable oil and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.

Add chopped onions, ginger, garlic, and green chili to the pan. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.

Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the oil starts to separate.

Add the boiled chole to the pan and mix well. Add water as needed to achieve the desired consistency. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.

For the bhature, boil the potatoes until soft, then mash them.
