Monster Rice Krispie Treats

   Prepare a large mixing bowl and a 9x13 inch baking dish by lightly greasing them with butter or non-stick spray.

   In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.

   Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

   Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly add the rice cereal to the marshmallow mixture. Stir until the cereal is well coated.

   Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a buttered spatula or wax paper to press the mixture evenly into the dish.

   While the mixture is still warm, gently press the candy eyes into the top of the treats, spacing them out as desired.

   Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature before cutting them into squares.
