Cut the beef sirloin into bite-sized cubes and set aside.

Finely chop the red onions and mince the garlic cloves.

Heat the niter kibbeh (spiced butter) in a large skillet or sauté pan over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onions and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they become soft and translucent.

Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute, stirring frequently.

Stir in the berbere spice and cook for 1 minute to release its aroma.
