Rinse the rice, chana dal, urad sabut dal, and moong dal thoroughly under running water.

Soak the rice and all the dals together in enough water for at least 4-6 hours or overnight.

Drain the soaked rice and dals, and transfer them to a blender.

Add a little water and blend to a smooth batter. The consistency should be similar to pancake batter.
