Soak the urad dal in water for 4-5 hours. Drain and grind it into a smooth batter.

Add salt to the batter and mix well. Let it ferment for 6-8 hours.

Boil the potatoes until tender, peel, and cut them into cubes.

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.

Add ginger paste, garlic paste, and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
