1Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into small cubes.
Peel, core, and chop the apples into small pieces.
In a large pot, add the sweet potatoes and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
In a separate pot, add the apples and a small amount of water. Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft, about 10 minutes.
Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot.
Add the cooked apples, maple syrup, butter, and cinnamon to the sweet potatoes.
Use a potato masher or immersion blender to purée the mixture until smooth.
Adjust the seasoning with more cinnamon if desired.
Serve warm as a side dish or a healthy snack.
