Cut the green and red bell peppers into thin strips.
Slice the onion into thin wedges.
Mince the garlic cloves.
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Add the steak strips to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the garlic, onion, and bell peppers. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-6 minutes.
Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch until smooth.
Return the steak to the skillet and pour the soy sauce mixture over the steak and vegetables.
Stir well to combine and cook until the sauce has thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
Season with black pepper to taste.
