Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, gently toss the mixed berries with the white sugar, and then spread the sugared berries in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined. Do not overmix.
Pour the batter over the berries, spreading it out to cover them as much as possible.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the cobbler topping comes out clean.
Allow to cool slightly before serving. This dish can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature, and pairs wonderfully with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
