In a shallow bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
In another shallow bowl, beat the eggs.
In a third shallow bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
Dredge each mozzarella stick in the flour mixture, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating for a thicker crust.
Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour to firm up.
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
