- buttermilk2 cups
- all-purpose flour2 cups
- cayenne pepper1 tablespoon
- paprika1 tablespoon
- brown sugar1 tablespoon
- garlic powder1 teaspoon
- salt1 teaspoon
- vegetable oil for frying2 cups
Preparación
- 1
Cut the chicken breasts into desired pieces.
- 2
In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk and chicken pieces. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- 3
In another bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cayenne pepper, paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, and salt.
- 4
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, and dredge each piece in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- 6
Carefully place the coated chicken pieces into the hot oil. Fry for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 7
Remove the chicken from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- 8
Serve the Spicy Nashville Hot Chicken hot, optionally with pickles and bread.
