Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
Form the chickpea mixture into small balls or patties, about 1 to 2 inches in diameter.
Fry the falafel in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy, about 3 to 5 minutes per side.
Remove the falafel from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Serve warm with your choice of accompaniments such as pita bread, tahini sauce, or salad.
