1Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a medium baking dish with a little ghee.
Peel, core, and dice the apples into small cubes. Set aside.
In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of ghee. Add the diced apples and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
Sprinkle half of the sugar (50g) over the apples and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the sugar melts and the apples are caramelized. Remove from heat and spread the apples evenly in the prepared baking dish.
In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, remaining sugar (50g), ground cardamom, saffron strands, and salt. Mix well.
Add the yogurt and remaining 1 tablespoon of ghee to the flour mixture. Stir until the mixture forms a crumbly dough.
Crumble the dough evenly over the caramelized apples in the baking dish.
Sprinkle the chopped pistachios on top of the crumble layer.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and crisp.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
