Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

Add 1 cup of water, cover the pan, and let it simmer on low heat for 30-40 minutes or until the lamb is tender.
Add the garam masala and cook for another 5 minutes.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
