1Peel the onions and cut them into 1/4-inch thick rings. Separate the rings.
In a bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk the milk and egg together.
Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then into the milk and egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
Remove the onion rings from the oil and drain on paper towels.
