Preparación

1
Before cooking, put on food-safe gloves and ventilate the kitchen well. Avoid touching your face while handling the habaneros, superhot pepper powders, and Pepper X infused oil.
2
Heat a large, heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat. Add the Pepper X infused oil without allowing it to smoke.
3
Add the diced yellow onion and red bell pepper. Cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring regularly, until softened.
4
Add the ground beef. Cook for 7–9 minutes, breaking it into small pieces, until browned and no pink remains.
5
Add the minced garlic and habaneros. Cook for 1 minute while stirring continuously. Keep your face away from the steam.
6
Stir in the tomato paste, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, Trinidad scorpion powder, ghost pepper powder, and Carolina reaper powder. Cook for 30 seconds over medium-low heat, taking care not to scorch or aerosolize the spices.
7
Add the crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Stir thoroughly, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pot.
8
Bring the chili to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and cook uncovered for 35–45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Do not lean directly over the pot while it simmers.
